DIY Framed Brooch Display: A Chic Way to Showcase Your Collection

If you have a collection of beautiful brooches, why keep them hidden away in a drawer? A DIY framed brooch display is a stylish and practical way to showcase your treasured pieces while adding a touch of elegance to your decor. This easy project is perfect for jewellery lovers looking to highlight their collection in a unique and organised way.

Materials Needed:

  1. Spray Paint
  2. Pen or pencil
  3. Wadding
  4. Hot glue gun or tape
  5. Scissors
  6. Fabric or velvet material
  7. A multi-photo frame

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Choose Your Multi-Photo Frame

Select a multi-photo frame that complements your style. Ornate frames offer a vintage appeal, while sleek modern frames give a contemporary touch. Remove the glass and backing so you are left with just the frame. Now time to spray paint the frame (I choose gold colour) any colour you like.

Step 2: Trace the Shape of Each Photo Slot

Using a pen or fabric chalk, carefully trace the shape of each photo slot onto the wadding. This ensures that the pieces fit precisely within the sections of the frame. Cut out the wadding along the traced lines.

Step 3: Cover the Wadding with Fabric

Lay your chosen fabric over the cut-out pieces of wadding, ensuring it fully covers the edges. If using velvet, it will provide a luxurious backdrop that enhances the look of your brooches. Secure the fabric to the back of each wadding piece using a hot glue gun or adhesive spray.

Step 4: Attach the Fabric-Covered Wadding to the Frame

Once the fabric is securely in place, adhere each wadding piece to its corresponding slot within the multi-photo frame. You can use glue or double-sided tape to hold them firmly in place.

Step 5: Arrange and Display Your Brooches

Now comes the fun part—arranging your brooches! Secure them onto the fabric-covered wadding by simply pinning them in place.

Final Touches
Place your framed brooch display on a dresser, vanity, or mount it on the wall for a stunning jewellery showcase. Not only does this project help keep your collection organised, but it also transforms your brooches into a dazzling piece of home décor.

Here is another I made using smaller frames.

With this DIY project, you can give your brooches the spotlight they deserve while adding a chic, personalised touch to your space. Try it out and let your jewellery shine!
